Intent

We aim for the children to become curious about the past, to think critically and ask perceptive questions to further their understanding.

This will be achieved by a high-quality history education that supports the children to weigh evidence and develop perspective and judgement.

Through history, the children will learn about Britain’s past and will have an understanding of people’s lives and change over time.
